spit pig
By David Finters

I have been thinking of doing a barbecue with a difference this summer and organising a Spit Pig for the day instead of fussing with all of the usual burgers, chicken drumsticks and steaks that we usually have to deal with when inviting people over for a barbecue. I have been looking into ordering a Spit Pig and, when I looked into the cost properly, I discovered to my delight that it would not be too expensive at all to go down this route. I realised that particularly when I thought about how much it would cost to buy all of the extras that go with an ordinary barbecue such as all the sauces and the salads etc, it would actually be more cost effective to order the Spit Pig instead. Not only would the cost be much better but it would also mean that there would be none of the hassle usually involved at barbecues where one person is continually stood over the barbecue not being able to socialise at all. My husband agrees with me that it is a really good idea. I know that he absolutely adores the idea of a whole sucking pig and crackling and I really think the novelty value will appeal to all of my friends as well.
